Vsevolod is not just a child: he is a true leader, endowed with sincerity, energy, wisdom and extraordinary determination. He loves going to school, is actively involved in swimming and studies English with great enthusiasm. However, type 1 diabetes divided the life of the twelve-year-old boy into "before" and "after". This diagnosis was not just a test for the family, but a painful déjà vu: the family had recently lost their daughter to the same terrible disease. Despite her despair, the mother gathered all her strength to fight for her son's life.
Diabetes is not just about glucose control. It is a time bomb for the entire body. It leads to serious damage to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys and nerves, and is the main cause of kidney failure. He recently had to undergo an operation that is considered simple for a healthy person, but for a child with diabetes it is a serious test that carries significant risks.
That is why, in order to maintain a full and healthy body, the boy's parents switched to an insulin pump. This modern system frees Vsevolod from constant injections with insulin syringe pens. The pump provides a more stable glucose level, minimizing the risks of hypo- or hyperglycemia, which is critically important for maintaining his health and avoiding complications.
However, despite all the advantages, using a pump requires the constant purchase of expensive consumables, which places a heavy financial burden on the family. Every 3 days it is necessary to change insulin reservoirs, cannulas for insulin administration, every week - replace batteries for uninterrupted operation of the pump. But the biggest financial burden so far is the sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. Support the family in the fight for Vsevolod's life and health!
