The war in Ukraine is forcing people to leave their homes: the enemy is cynically destroying civilian infrastructure, ruthlessly taking the lives of Ukrainians and destroying entire cities. People, fleeing the horrors of war, seek safer places and travel thousands of miles to avoid explosions and feel safe for a while.

The village of Stara Ushytsia, which in the Khmelnytsky region, like many other towns in Ukraine, receives internally displaced persons, mostly women with children, has left hotspots. Currently, people are being housed in communal institutions of the community, where all the necessary conditions have been created the day before. As of May 19, there are 1,029 displaced persons in the village, including 237 people living in communal facilities, including 98 women, 85 children and 54 elderly people. Mostly residents of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, Mariupol, Kyiv region, Sumy region and Chernihiv region.

In view of this, the community of Stara Ushytsia wants to expand the number of places where IDPs can stay. To do this, you need to buy everything you need for a comfortable stay. You need to buy 50 blankets and 50 pillows and 2500 sets of bed linen to make your beds. Refrigerators, washing machines, electric stoves, microwaves, electric kettles, irons and TVs, freezers and boilers, personal care products and products are also needed here. Laptops are also very important for children, as they continue to study online.

"We are from Kharkiv. The first eight days of the war were spent in the basement. My children are 6 and 10 years old, and my 14-year-old sister is with us. Six-year-old Arseniy had the hardest time crying all the time. And it helped us, in a few days the child was finally able to fall asleep. Then there was an evacuation train. The man stayed on the platform, and we went standing in the vestibule of the car. Today, my children are playing in the yard of a camp in Staraya Ushytsya in the Khmelnytsky region. It was quickly converted for refugees. to cook food, a TV set for the common living room", Goryainova Anna, Arseniy, Arina, Polina.

Thanks to this project, municipal institutions of the village will be equipped, which will be able to receive IDPs from all over Ukraine: Podolsk Lyceum, Nefedovsky ZDO, Gorayev Gymnasium and Staroushytsia Territorial Center for Social Services.. The products and hygiene products that we will purchase within the framework of this project will be enough for people for 5 months.

Let's support those who have experienced all the horrors of war!
