The purpose of the project "Books for the Dacha" was to raise funds for the construction of the Center for Children with Cancer "Dacha". Dacha is the only center in Ukraine that accepts families with cancer children for free accommodation during their treatment at the National Cancer Institute. The Zaporuka Charitable Foundation founded and maintains the center. During the 11 years of Dacha's existence, the foundation has provided free housing for 1,300 families from all over Ukraine. Today "Dacha" is located in a rented room. But soon the little "summer residents" will move to their own modern home, where all possible conditions will be created for the children to recover faster. The DieSlovo Charitable Bookstore joined the construction of the new Dacha.
