Maksym is in the 7th grade and has a brother and sister. Unfortunately, his sister Yaryna also has diabetes. When the girl was diagnosed with the disease, it was scary and unexpected. But when Maksym was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes 5 months later, it was complete despair. Perhaps only his mother knows how difficult it is to raise three children, two of whom are diagnosed with diabetes. Now the woman closely monitors the condition of her third child, subconsciously preparing for the worst-case scenario.

This family has long since learned to live together with family members who need constant attention and control. But it's not just hard. It is a different life where you cannot give yourself time to rest or forget. All these terrible events happened to the family at the beginning of a full-scale war. It is difficult to imagine the feelings of a mother facing such trials at the same time.

Maksym has started a rebellious teenage period, so now it is very important to constantly monitor his condition. Before his illness, the boy was engaged in extreme sports – parkour. Now, of course, it is harder for him, but he does not give up the sport. He tries to prove by his example that it is possible and even necessary to do sports with diabetes. Maksym is a very sociable person, and he is not ashamed of his disease. All of his friends carry candy with them in case Maksym feels sick.

Today, it is difficult for an ordinary family to maintain proper nutrition and treatment for a child with diabetes. And when there are two such children, it is even impossible. His mother asks us to help her buy the glucose monitoring devices Maksym needs.
