Mariyka is an extremely kind, cheerful, and bright girl who recently turned three years old. She loves cats, hugs, colorful toys, and sincerely enjoys every day. Her smile is like a little sun that warms the hearts of everyone who sees her.
Mariyka's mother is raising her alone. Their lives changed dramatically two years ago when the child was hospitalized and received a serious diagnosis: diabetes mellitus. The family had to accept a new reality in which insulin injections, constant monitoring of glucose levels, and the struggle for stable health became routine. But the trials did not end there. While in the hospital, they received more terrible news: Masha had a congenital heart defect that required surgery. Unfortunately, due to the unstable course of diabetes, the operation had to be postponed: first, her blood sugar levels had to be brought under control.
To reduce the number of painful injections and better control diabetes, doctors recommend using continuous glucose monitoring with special sensors. These devices make life much easier for both the child and her mother – they allow them to monitor sugar levels without constant finger pricks, respond to fluctuations in time, and avoid dangerous conditions. But these sensors are very expensive, and unfortunately, they cannot afford to buy them on their own.
Mariyka has to endure up to 6-8 injections a day, and sometimes even more. Not every adult could endure this every day, but she endures, smiles, and believes that everything will be fine soon. Your support is a chance for this little girl to have a full childhood without pain and fear.
