Nikita is a little fighter with a big lust for life. He was born at 31 weeks of pregnancy weighing only 1,540 grams. From the first moments of his life, the baby had to struggle: three months in the intensive care unit, brain hemorrhage, hypoxia... However, Nikita passed all the tests. After his condition stabilized, he was transferred to the premature baby unit, where he gained weight and finally went home.

From the very beginning, the boy's life was accompanied by constant visits to doctors. During one of the examinations, Nikita was referred to OKHMATDYT, where he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Fortunately, a shunt was avoided – doctors prescribed medication and regular rehabilitation. Thanks to hard work and the support of his family, Nikita learned to sit, balance and move around in a walker, his sleep improved, and new words appeared in his vocabulary.

Today Nikita is six years old. Despite all his achievements, the boy still has difficulties: his speech is poorly developed and his left hand is impaired, although it has improved after rehabilitation. He needs further treatment to be able to fully grow, develop and dream of a happy childhood.
