Oleksiy lives in a large family in a village in the Lviv region. He was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes in April. Since then, the word “life” has acquired a slightly different, more meaningful meaning for Oleksiy.

The boy was often ill in childhood and has significant problems with hearing and vision. Doctors performed several surgeries to restore his hearing and annual procedures to improve his eyesight. Now his vision is minus three. He is an active boy and has many friends. Football, fishing, music and dancing - Oleksiy still tries to maintain his usual pace of life. Of course, diabetes has imposed certain restrictions. But the guy is not going to give up. He injects himself and reacts patiently and understandingly to new circumstances.

His family has three children, and his parents try to provide them with everything they need. But Oleksiy's illness has made significant changes to their family's budget. The cost of treatment has become prohibitive for an ordinary family. His mother works as a hairdresser, and his father is a construction worker. Their income is only enough to keep them alive. The boy's mother hopes for help with her son's treatment.
