The first days of a newborn’s life are among the most critical and vulnerable. This is especially true for babies who are born prematurely, have a low birth weight, or require intensive medical care immediately after birth.

One of the most common problems during this period is neonatal jaundice – a condition in which excess bilirubin accumulates in the baby’s body. For many newborns, this is a physiological process; however, in premature babies or those with underlying complications, high bilirubin levels can quickly become dangerous.

If treatment is not started in time, excess bilirubin can damage the nervous system, the brain, hearing, and other vital bodily functions. In severe cases, this can lead to irreversible consequences for the child’s development.

That is why it is extremely important for doctors to be able to quickly initiate phototherapy – treatment with special blue light that helps a newborn’s body safely eliminate excess bilirubin.

Today, the Odesa City Council’s Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Maternity Hospital №5" needs a modern Bilibluelight phototherapy lamp for the department where they help children who require special medical care and support every day.

The maternity hospital team works with newborns who were born prematurely, have complications after birth, or are undergoing treatment in the first hours and days of life. For these children, the speed and quality of medical care are critical.

The modern Bilibluelight phototherapy lamp allows for:

-provide effective treatment for jaundice thanks to an optimal blue light spectrum;

-stabilize the condition of newborns more quickly;

-ensure safe therapy even for low-birth-weight infants;

-minimize the risk of complications associated with high bilirubin levels;

-make treatment comfortable for both the child and the medical staff.

Bilibluelight is a modern LED phototherapy system featuring high efficiency, low noise levels, and a long LED lifespan. This equipment allows doctors to work consistently and continuously even when the department is under heavy load.

Our goal is to raise 300,000 UAH to purchase a Bilibluelight phototherapy lamp for the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Maternity Hospital №5" of the Odesa City Council.

The Bilibluelight phototherapy lamp is a modern LED phototherapy system; it features an optimal blue light spectrum of 440-480 nm; high light intensity for effective treatment; minimal noise; long-lasting LEDs; and safe and comfortable therapy for newborns.

For newborns, especially premature babies, timely phototherapy is often a critically important part of treatment. The ability to quickly monitor bilirubin levels and begin therapy helps prevent serious complications, shorten treatment time, and give the baby a chance at a healthy start in life.

Your contribution will help doctors at "Maternity Hospital №5" in Odesa support and save their youngest patients every day during the first and most crucial days of their lives.
