Nastia is a kind, open, and capable girl. She studies diligently, has a passion for drawing, and easily finds common ground with her peers.
Eight years ago, misfortune quietly entered Nastia's family home. The girl was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Her parents still remember every second of that day: the cold of the hospital ward, the incomprehension in the child's eyes when the needle touched her skin for the first time, and their own silent parental scream: "Why her?".
The family learned to live anew. Together with Anastasia, her parents became experts in grams, carbohydrates, and insulin units. They held on.
They say God gives trials to those who can bear them. But today it seems as though the shoulders of this strong family are too slight for this burden. Eight years later, lightning struck a second time. When the glucometer showed high blood sugar in their second child. It was as though the ground simply fell away beneath their feet. The same feeling of helplessness. The same questions with no answers. Now there are twice as many finger pricks in the home, twice as many injections, twice as many anxious monitoring alerts in the middle of the night. Diabetes does not choose. It simply takes away childhood, turning it into the mathematics of survival.
The illness has doubled its price, and the parents are forced to ask for help. Modern sensors that allow the children not to feel the pain of constant finger pricks. Quality consumables and health support – these are enormous costs for one family where there are now two children with the same illness. Please become a support for this family today and help Anastasia with glucose monitoring sensors! For Nastia, this is the chance to live an ordinary childhood: to find joy, to dream, to spend time with friends, and every day to delight her loved ones with her smile. For Nastia, it is the chance to sleep peacefully – and for her parents, to know that her life is safe.
