Extend life and relieve pain

      On August 13, 2023, Mirra was admitted to the intensive care unit in Pervomaisk with critically high glucose levels of 24 mmol/L. Three weeks earlier, her mother noticed that her daughter had lost a lot of weight and had become thirsty and irritable. The use of sensors and a pump helps to avoid serious complications and significantly reduces the amount of pain the child experiences from injections.
      In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity aid operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated August 31, 2020, and supplementary agreement No. 21. 316 dated May 27, 2025, the project “Extend Life and Relieve Pain” was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting donations to pay for the treatment of Mirroslava Malyarchuk.
      On July 14, 2025, thanks to the donors of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, who closed Mirroslava's fundraiser, we received UAH 105,000.00 (one hundred and five thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's current account to pay for the child's treatment and project administration. 
      In August of this year, we purchased Freestyle Libre 2 sensors for the girl in the amount of UAH 55,200.00 (fifty-five thousand two hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      Mirročka is currently in the 2nd grade of a general education school and in the 2nd grade of a music school. In addition, she attends a technical modeling club at the Youth Technical Center and has also tried her hand at boxing. However, she had to temporarily put this contact sport on hold due to the use of a pump, cannulas, and sensors. So, we decided to enroll her in dance classes.

      The child is gradually becoming more independent and autonomous thanks to sensors that transmit blood sugar data directly to the mother's phone. She can remotely monitor the indicators and tell her daughter when she needs a snack.

      The path of a child with diabetes is not easy. It requires high discipline and responsibility, but at the same time it teaches self-care, helps to value and protect one's health.

      We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of UAH 49,800.00 (forty-nine thousand eight hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) for Mirroslava's needs in 2025.
