Sofia is a small, sincere and very emotional girl who always gives everyone around her her smile, joy and warmth. She loves to laugh, play, hug and discover this world with childlike spontaneity and faith in goodness. But six months ago, changes occurred in her life…

At the age of 4, Sofia was diagnosed with diabetes. She was hospitalized in a very serious condition with a severe form of ketoacidosis. It was a difficult and worrying period for the whole family. Two weeks passed under the constant supervision of doctors, in the struggle to stabilize her condition, with continuous drips and treatment. Examinations showed that the girl's pancreas, unfortunately, does not produce insulin at all. This became a serious challenge that changed the family's life and made her look at health, daily routine and future in a different way.

This disease scared Sofia very much. From an open, emotional child, she became quieter, more cautious, more withdrawn… She has to endure injections, sugar control and restrictions that should not be part of childhood every day.

Since then, the family has been learning to live with this diagnosis of their daughter and is most eager to make this path easier for Sofiika. To do this, she needs continuous glucose monitoring sensors. They allow her to constantly monitor her sugar level without painful frequent finger pricks, help avoid sudden spikes and make the child's life calmer and safer.

 Unfortunately, these sensors are expensive and it is difficult for parents to provide Sofiika with them on their own, so the family is turning to all those who care. Your help is a step towards Sofiika feeling like a carefree child again, smiling more and being less afraid.
