Jasmine began to develop scoliosis a long time ago, but recently the situation has become critical: the curvature angle has reached 70 degrees. Jasmine lives with her father's family, and his wife also has a disability. Professor Levytskyi from the National Children's Specialised Hospital "Ohmatdyt" decided to perform an urgent surgery to correct the spinal deformity.
In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the CO ICF ‘Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace’ and the Charity Operator “Pomogayem” dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.288 dated 25.10.2024, the project ‘Scoliosis threatens Jasmine's life’ was posted on the website dobro.ua to attract charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Petropavlovska Jasmine.
On 07.01.2025, thanks to the donors of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace who closed Jasmine's collection, we received UAH 307,440.00 (three hundred seven thousand four hundred and forty hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Foundation's current account to pay for the child's treatment and project administration.

The suppliers of Socore implants gave the child a significant discount on the construction. After receiving the funds in April this year, we paid for the surgery in the amount of 256,800.00 UAH (two hundred and fifty-six thousand eight hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in September – for the administration of the project.

On 29 April 2025, an operation lasting about nine hours was performed at the OKHMATDIT clinic in Kyiv. Professor Levitsky said he was satisfied with the result. Although the anaesthesia was difficult for the girl, her condition stabilised afterwards.

After the surgery, the child's height increased by 7 centimetres. The parents were very worried because the operation took so long. They were unsure about the child's condition and recovery after the surgery, whether funds would be needed for rehabilitation or additional treatment, so they asked to refrain from returning the funds for some time.

Jasmine's well-being has improved significantly: her physical fatigue has decreased, her back does not cause her any problems, although it is somewhat uncomfortable to bend down.

Jasmine is now a teenager, spending time with her friends and socialising with her classmates. She is now much less self-conscious about her appearance and enjoys experimenting with hairstyles and makeup, admiring herself in the mirror. She periodically thinks about her future and career choices, but has not yet decided on a field of activity.

Therefore, due to the inability to spend all the funds allocated for the project, the remaining funds in the amount of UAH 37,800.00 (thirty-seven thousand eight hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) were transferred on 19 September 2025 to the account of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and asked that they be disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation.

Currently, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the child's needs.

We sincerely thank the donors and partners of dobro.ua for their help and support!
