Bogdan is a very kind and sensitive nine-year-old boy who loves helping animals, growing flowers, riding his bike, and playing soccer. But everything changed on one terrible day a year ago when the boy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The family was shocked – Bogdan was the first among them to have this disease.
Many new rules and restrictions entered the family's life. In order to inject insulin, it is necessary to count the carbohydrates consumed – because of this, everything the child eats must be carefully weighed and calculated. During the day, his sugar levels often spike, and at night, they drop, so Bogdan has to be woken up to eat something sweet to raise his glucose. This instability requires close monitoring of his blood sugar, which means constant finger pricks, endless anxiety, and endless preoccupation.
But there is another way. Thanks to sensors that continuously monitor blood sugar levels, the boy can forget about painful finger pricks and even more painful uncertainty. The devices allow changes to be detected in advance and critical conditions to be prevented without any intervention. But there is a problem – these devices are incredibly expensive. Help the family take Bogdan's life back into his own hands from the clutches of illness!
