Alisa is a cheerful and active girl, 3 years old. She is very fun-loving and sociable, enjoys playing with other children, drawing, discovering new things, and dreams of going to kindergarten. Despite her young age, Alisa already battles a serious illness every day – type 1 diabetes.
The disease requires constant blood sugar monitoring, regular insulin administration, a special diet, and continuous supervision of the child's condition day and night. Every day Alisa needs to have her blood sugar measured and receive insulin injections at least 5 times a day – and sometimes more, depending on her glucose levels and meals. For a young child, this is a significant physical and emotional burden.
For better diabetes management, Alisa needs to use glucose monitoring sensors on an ongoing basis. These devices help prevent sharp blood sugar fluctuations and reduce the number of painful injections, which is especially important for a young child.
Because of diabetes, the family is forced to spend significant amounts of money on sensors, syringes, test strips, medications, and a special diet. All of this is absolutely essential for maintaining the child's stable health.
Despite all the difficulties, Alisa remains a kind, sincere, and smiling child. She is growing up in a loving family where her parents do everything they can for her health and a full childhood. At present, the child's condition requires constant monitoring and support, as diabetes is a disease that demands continuous treatment and significant financial costs.
The family needs help and support to provide Alisa with the necessary diabetes treatment and monitoring supplies – sensors – so that the child can grow up healthy, develop, and live a full life.
