To be a normal teenager

Yurii grew up an absolutely healthy, good, and very kind boy. He went to school, played with friends, and enjoyed life. He always helped his parents and sisters. Yurko is now 15 years old – a good friend and an ideal son. But at the moment he cannot attend school or see his friends due to feeling unwell and having unstable blood sugar levels. The boy has had to face the illness of type 1 diabetes. In an instant, Yurko began to be troubled by intense thirst, rapid weight loss, frequent trips to the bathroom, and quick fatigue – all of these symptoms were already heralds of a chronic disease.
Yurii plans to return to his normal life in the near future. But because the school is in another village, his parents are afraid to let their son go, as his blood sugar is unstable and his wellbeing cannot be called good. Yurko needs continuous blood glucose monitoring. Continuous monitoring sensors can help track his blood sugar levels and manage his condition. Unfortunately, it is financially difficult for his parents to provide their child with sensors on an ongoing basis, as this is a large family. Only the father works, while the mother is on maternity leave with the youngest child, who is 1 year old. Yura also has 2 sisters – one is in school, the other in college. His parents strive for their son to live a full life and do everything they can to make that possible.
The daily battle with diabetes means constant costs, anxiety, and exhaustion. But together we can purchase sensors and help Yurii live as an active teenager without unnecessary pain and fear over every blood sugar reading. Any support is a step toward a more peaceful life for the boy and his family. Even a small contribution can make a big difference!
