Engineer - geophysicist in the specialty, who spent the whole life on business trips as part of the field survey parties, Valentina Sadovaya and her 85 are not ready to retire. Now the place of application of its forces was a veteran organization, where this amazing woman tries to be useful to society. But, like most people of her time, the war left its imprint on Valentina Vasilyevna's health. She practically does not hear anything.

We met with her at the office of the district "primary school", where colleagues from the organization cordially congratulated Valentina Vasilyevna on her anniversary, and we give her story:

"I was 10 years old when I was returning from the evacuation from Kyrgyzstan with my mother and my younger sister, where my father was the chief of the naval special school and he trained cadets. We returned very long and hard. And finally, at the end of February 1944 the train took us from Kharkov to Kiev. The wagon in which we were traveling turned out to be a hole pierced by an unexploded ordnance. From the hole formed it was horrible cold.

During the journey by the icy wind, the left side of my head and ear were inflated. Then it was a very cold winter. The clothes were bad, not intended for cold. The consequences of this trip have been with me for life. I was tormented by constant colds and runny nose. Then i became deaf. "

But life went its own way - in Kiev, Valentina graduated from high school and entered the University Shevchenko at the geofak. After receiving her degree in geophysics, she worked for 40 years at the Institute of Oil Transport. She worked in field parties as the head of the design and survey group.

"We went all over the union - Siberia, north. Oil pipelines "Friendship", "Ukhta - Yaroslavl." The soils were studied, the influence of water and harmful soils on the pipes was excluded. We left or flew to the place. Worked in the field, spending the night in the lodges of track crawlers. The trip could last a month. Already at home цу wrote reports, drafted them "- says about her work, Valentina Vasilievna.
After retirement, an active and motivated woman work for 30 years in public organizations of veterans. In 2003, Valentina Vasilievna created and headed the primary veteran organization in the new microdistrict of the Kharkiv Massif of Kiev. As far as possible, he works there now. Valentina Sadova proudly shows us the album of her "primary". Each page is dedicated to someone from honorable veterans. Here the participants of the hostilities, here is the Hero of the Soviet Union, who at the age of 19 performed a feat, here is a pilot, followed by a women doctor who went through the entire war in evacuation hospitals.

"In my "primary" was about 1500 veterans, now about 800. We were very pleased to go to the children's school. I remember how in school at the meeting we handed medals to the veterans who fought in Belarus. I believe that the main task of veterans is to work with young people, "- summed up our conversation, Valentina Vasilievna.

Not everything was just in Valentine's personal life. The life of the son's family was tragic. In the 90s the woman stayed with two grandchildren on her hands - 10 and 14 years old. She raised the grandchildren herself. The senior grandson studied in a culinary college and was given good rations as an orphan. Largely thanks to them, and pensions existed.

And two years ago, Valentine Vasilyevna had an intracranial operation to remove the hematoma, and the woman completely deaf on the left ear and sees poorly with her left eye. The doctors diagnosed her: chronic neurosensory hearing loss of the third degree. Treatment of the disease is impractical.

Let's support this wonderful woman and collect 17 000 UAH to provide her with a quality and comfortable hearing aid!
